Here's a little secret about me. Every time I make a post or offer help in a big FB group, I get a big bout of anxiety.
My heart races, like RACES. Like hard to breathe, hands are sweating, I feel like I have been attacked by someone type of heart racing.
I usually try to tell myself to erase it before I post it, which in all honesty, I often do.
I try to run and hide.
It took me a long time to realize why that happens and it comes from being the weird creative kid with ADHD growing up and basically always being misunderstood.
There are times, even now, when someone gets shitty with me over the internet that was taken as a complete misunderstanding of what I was saying, that I have a melt down.
In fact, my last years retreat with my coach I had a melt down sitting on a couch with her about this because it had happened that morning.
This is why as a weirdo, having someone who really gets you and doesn't give you generic strategy is essential to your success.
Someone who knows why you aren't showing up online is more than just 'I don't know what to say'.
Someone who understands how scary it is to stop hiding in your own brand out of self preservation is so important.
Someone who gets your fear of being misunderstood is why you really dislike selling.
